First of all let me state, I do know that Creed is not an official Christian band, I've
read many things on it.
I do believe this song has been God related. I'm here to give my complete opinion.
Let me deal with the first paragraph.
He's calling for help, finding himself in a place he can't escape. He expresses this as a
"road to nowhere."
The use of thunder in its context is the equivalent to the voice of God; and the writer is
speaking back to him, or truing to.
"But I’m down to my last breath" this tells me he’s about to give up.
Second Paragraph
"Hold me now" It's simple he wants to be held, as a child scared wanting to be held by his
mother. This is also spoken as a prayer, I know this because he’s on his last breath.
"Six feet from the edge" He’s at a point in his life where he sees only one-way out. death.
"Six feet doesn't seem that far down" A grave is six feet under, he’s not afraid of death.
Third paragraph
He’s reflecting on his life, looking at the mistakes he has made.
He says, "I thought I found the road to somewhere in his grace." This reference to road
Goes back to the first paragraph where we learn that the road is a road to nowhere.
There’s no question that "In his grace" means in Gods grace.
Now he’s crying out to heaven to save him, his soul.
He now is turning to Christ for help. To hold him as a father or mother would.
Forth paragraph
Same as second
Fifth Paragraph
"Sad eyes follow me" He means the apathy he’s getting from mankind.
He believes there’s something left for him in this life.
"So please come stay with me" he’s asking Christ to enter his life and show him purpose.
"Cause I still believe there's something left for you and me" Again he knows his life has
Some purpose and with the grace of God he will accomplish it.
This is what I think he is meaning by "six feet from the edge" i think he is saying that he is six feet from falling into some heavy sin and when he really looks at it six feet is not such a long fall meaning its really not that bad when in reality it is. Many sins when we look at them as people we sometimes say "oh well thats not so bad" but it really is.

in the nicest way possible ... how can u say there not a christian band ALL of there songs are based on God ..i dont think an unbelieving band would put in that much effort into somthing they wernt 'offical' so no matter what u read or heard regardless of weather or not there stated as an 'offical' christian band u cant agrue with the fact that they OBVIOUSLY believe in God .
ive pretty much been in this exact situation , & some of u's arnt getting the full meaning of this song .. hers my take .

'road to no where ' meaning...
'road to no where ' meaning hes drifted AWAY from God into sin
' i yelled back when i heard thunder' can be taken in 2 ways the first is he knows hes lost & drifted away from God but still gets gimps of hope & calls out to God to save him when he does ... or u could take it in a whole nother way as in 'thunder' meaning touble ( demons , evil) & 'yelling back' as in rebuking them
'but im down to one last breath' hes just completly drained , feels alone , like he has nothing left in him to keep fighting .. like hes drifted soo far away from God that hes in it on his own .
' & with it let me say ..... hold me now!' meaning he KNOWS he cant get though what ever it is hes going through WITHOUT GOD , & hes wanting God to not only comfort him .. but hes also turning to God to cary him out of his troubles safely ( like with his last breath hes handing over his burden to God)
'im 6ft from the edge & im thinking , mayb 6 ft aint so far down' meaning hes contemplating suicide .. thinking God has left him fully
'I'm looking down now that it's over reflecting on all of my mistakes' meaning hes in a state of mind where thes convinced suicide is his only option & reflecting on all his sins that got him there thinking hes past the point of forgiveness
'I thought I found the road to somewhere, somewhere in His grace' reflecting on how he WAS on the right path ( to God) but has obviously strayed ( through sinning)
'I cried out heaven save me ,but I'm down to one last breath' once again the man OBVIOUSLY has a strong belief in God cause once again with what feels like the very LAST ounce of energy left in his broken body he calls out to GOD to save him , knowing that GOD is the only one that can help him now ( hes obviously dealing with somthing far greater then himself .. probly some of his own demons)
'Sad eyes follow me' He knows he can feel God with him , hurting when hes hurting
'But I still believe there's something left for me ,so please come stay with me' meaning He starting to realise theres still a bit of hope left in him , hes scared & asking God not to leave his side .
'Cause I still believe there's something left for you and me'
He KNOWS God is a mercyfull God & theres still hope for him having a proper realtionship with him & having a happy forfulled life
'For you and me ,for you and me' ( him & God kinda self explanitory)
Hope this helped :)
btw to lazy to spell check sorry for the shocking spelling :/
