Are you sure the lyrics are right? When I've heard this (over and over!) I hear "I know HE likes to rock" and "I know SHEs watching me". i remember the first time I heard it I expected it to only speak of the male side of god and was amazed when it addressed god as male and female. I will have to go and listen to it again.
To me this is more a song of seeking god and not knowing where to start. Perhaps pertaining to the multitude of religions and the multitude of ideas about god. Wanting to be shown a little direction and knowing that its a personal journey at the same time. "Throwing stones" for the attention of god, but perhaps god is "one of us" - within ourselves, not distant.
