God, this is a beautiful song. It is so meaningful. My interpretation of the part of the song that says, "someone, please, the moon has raped me/I can feel it inside me," is that the moon is full of light. Light equates to hope and happiness. The person in the song can feel their hope and distant happiness deep within him or herself, but it is torturing them because they are longing for something to change that seems as if it never will. They have felt the same way for so long, and it is destroying them or "raping" them. Rape is stealing something special and sacred, whatever it is has stolen away this person's happiness and innocence. This song has come to be my theme song in a way. A very depressing theme song, but it's just recaptures all of my feelings of this past year. These are extremely poetic and symbolic lyrics. EXCELLENT.
