I love this song - it's a cover, and Lisa Marr's original is definitely worth checking out. It might be based on Marr's real experiences moving from Canada to LA, but of course it's dangerous to assume a song is purely autobiographical.
It's beautiful, though. To me it perfectly captures the alienation of moving to a new place and being a stranger to everyone, and wondering if anything you're doing really matters.
