A lot of 'Heads connect the song with the 1911 novel "The Secret Garden" wherein there was a woman named Lily whose best friend was named Rose (more on that in a minute 😉)who cared greatly about her walled-in garden but when she died in childbirth, the garden also died. Years later,her niece named Mary (Rose->Mary😁) is sent to live at the mansion. That's as far as any possible allegory to the novel makes it IMHO. Anyhoo, greetings from Seattle ‼️✌️🖖🫡
