Hearing this so much on the radio as a kid made me like it so much. I never understood what it meant until my teen years. Just hearing this throughout your life hits hard, especially when you know what it's about. Feeling that LA air and seeing/experiencing the lives out there... "I gave my life away" man, that end chorus still gives me chills. Fuck Anthony Kiedis though.
