I fear going deeper into Jesus' love so I deceive myself which makes me a fool (because I'm frail).
Just like a rose represents the fidelity of Christ's love, I'm like Peter who promised his loyalty but failed until he was filled with the power of the Holy Spirit (because I'm frail).
I seek shallowness in my relationships and hide my true feelings because I choose comfort vs. the fear involved with going deep (because I'm frail).
But when I come to Jesus admitting my brokenness, He takes the cup of shame and guilt from me and like the blind man He healed with His mud, Jesus helps me see who God created me to be and helps me rest in God's peace because He took on the pain & suffering because of my sin.
