For me, I find this song incredibly sad. I feel it tells the story of a woman in a new marriage who is realising the person they married is not the person they fell in love with, and she is questioning how this can be real. It's a sad, and scary song to me. Sifting through the grain of gold - looking for something precious in the marriage.
