I'm not sure what the song means, Tales from Topographic Oceans is one of the most dense works by any band and many people didn't like it, but I think there are moments of brilliance on it.
And one of those moments comes near the end when there's the cacophony of sound - Alan White and Squire and everyone going bananas (technical term) and the out of that comes Howe's guitar - pure and calm and beautiful, like a sunrise after a night of bad dreams. It lifts you up while bringing you a feeling of serenity.
Just a great moment of music.
