I was 17yrs old in a dark place and heard this song by chance (over the radio)...a message I desperately needed to hear at the time. It was my north star for years, I am grateful for the impact it had on me.
To the point: I always thought that it was about coming to an understanding that all these definitions which we believe are those that define our life, do not. Our lives are greater than the sum of those things...If our lives were only the worth of those definitions, and the pain they can create, than yes "i'd be joining you".
