Hey there… I have no idea what B Dylan may have specifically meant in these lyrics. I have a feeling that it’s not that kind of song…a direct metaphor or what have you. More just a story, or a dream come through his experience and the filter of his mind. Not necessarily all thought out. He probably doesn’t care all that much about literal meaning.
