I believe this song is quite surface level to understand - clearly about a girl who's in love with her guy best friend who's in a relationship and is mentally a mess in which he leans on her with his problems. I can observe this because personally I've been there. this whole concept is clearly portrayed through the way she is clearly describing how she will wait for him and "I'll know"
