To me, this song is about the character's inability to find meaning and truth as a sort of voyeur to the mundanity of modern existence. He notes the burden of the slow passage of time and the randomness of it all. The singer attempts to find meaning in what could be considered a hedonistic or prophetic vision. Although the vision creates an exciting juxtaposition against the mundane, it presents a sort of dilemma of its own in this juxtaposition. It vaguely sums up the themes of the album as a whole.
