I understand the meaning of and message behind this song but I have always wondered how these brave women handled basic personal hygiene on these long treks. I know there were no tampons, tampax or any of the Kotex brand products so what did they use? And what about the clean-up post delivery? Were they even able to shave their pubes? I truly am amazed that men would tolerate women on these trips. They seem useless given their complete lack of hygiene especially near their love tunnels both front and back. Maybe they didn't have teeth!
