I love this song, when i first listened to it what stuck out to me was the lyric “i would sleep like a dog if you had never of said” then he pauses and says “this is the world coming down on you head”. I interpreted it to maybe he was on the phone to an ex/girlfriend the night before, they ended things or she said something that had made him realise they are coming to an end. He would of ‘slept like a dog’ if she had never of said it. Especially the pause between said and this. Him waking up from that and the realisation hitting him, “feeling the world falling down on his head”.
