These lyrics are actually incorrect. The chorus is life is not Rockwell. Not “right where” it’s life is not Rockwell, as in Norman Rockwell.
I was actually at spots CD release party at trees in Deep Elum in Dallas. The song plus Straight through the Sun’s head were played on the old Q102 a lot in 1995. A lot of people struggled with this lyric and it took me a while at 17 to figure out what they were saying. Once I learned the Moon June Spoon was an old phrase. My grandparents used the Rockwell line all of a sudden became obvious. That’s the cool thing about this band is their lyrics were so well written. If I recall correctly, the lead singer/songwriter actually went onto tour with Charlie Daniels and has had an amazing career as a touring musician.
