Corpse Pose Lyrics

To me this is a song of existentialist dread. During a difficult time when I was depressed in an altered state this song came on and i was paralyzed. I began perceiving all humans in the universe as an illusory mirror in a reality of solipsism. It's like the dark side of the contemplation that we are all reflections of "god"

"sleeping is believing, breathing is deceiving" When we're awake and alive/breathing we cannot really know what is the truth; sleeping is believing is the one lyric that gives me hope in this awesome yet chaotically depressing song... many hypotheses about the nature of our lives and what we're doing here can only be speculation or opinion, not fact. To sleep is to be dumb/not awake/aware. Question things

"The draw back to living is finding yourself" ...when you realize you're the only one and everyone is just you, it sucks. Now what do you do?

"Don't believe it if you see it, got to see it to believe it" ... save yourself from the horrors of this possible reality. Don't just give in to it being right. You won't know what it can mean and feel like til you're faced with it. It can feel real to contemplate, but you might only really know when you die and return to your source.

So what are you going to do? Be in agony. "Watch your heart, let it bleed, don't have faith in anything"

Hopelessness in dissociation, and or death "corpse pose, corpse pose"
