Hi i believe the last comment left of a treos song was well over a decade ago. Unfortunate. This song is my favorite treos song ever, I hope it gets a release on streaming services much like weightless underwear did.
I believe this song is about an unhealthy or falling relationship, much like many of the other commenters believe. Both sides refuse to acknowledge their wrongs if not completely deflect them. Apathetic to one another. They’re starved of one another’s attention and affection, too lost in the tension of their collapsing relationship. They reminisce—dream—about older days of their relationship, times they felt less empty. At the end one of the parties still believes there is hope for them no matter how draining and destructive it is, “Need to believe in these dripping organs sutured to my sleeves”. They want to express this to their partner but they fear it may backfire. I love these lyrics so much.
