When I was a kid I used to watch Looney Tunes and remember seeing Daffy Duck don a devil costume, grab a gas can to douse himself, and strike a match in front of an audience to the applause of everyone in attendance (Bugs Bunny included).
To me this is a real life take on that. It’s about someone who literally kills themself for fame.
