A lot of cool interpretations, but there are two parts I think everybody is missing. When he says, "You were the same as me but on your knees," he's saying you're no less human or no less important than me. The only difference is you're "on your knees" at the mercy of life or the drug. The only thing that separates us is that I am not on my knees. Then, when he says, "When you stand, they fall," it's a continuation of that. When you "get off your knees" and stand up, the losers, those who want to hurt you, or the drugs, or whatever it is beating you down, when you stand up, it falls away. You can win. Get off your knees. Stand up and they will fall.
