The song was something I originally started working on back in 2021. The lyrics I came up with in autumn of 2023, while going through deep depression and was having suicidal ideations. The whole meaning of "To This End" is a story of someone who feels like they want to end their life but end up pulling through and finding something to live for. It's sad, it's dark, and deeply harrowing...but also hopeful in a sense.
