Ever since I first heard this song, I always interpreted the "doing it unto you" as a euphemism for ejaculation.
"Do unto others as you would have them do unto yourself"
He's "finishing" onto others as he would have them finish onto him
That's just me, though. I still think this song is about some cycle of abuse.
