It's about lust. It's called Temptation, after all. Prince was the reining heir of the 'vice', so he was well primed to give us its sermon. The guitar starts with his most exaggerated extreme playing and boy could he wring the notes from that machine. Hats off to Prince for an amazing album that sadly had to follow his most popular, Purple Rain, and therefore was unfairly compared to it.
