I think it has to do with someone who loves someone that just doesn’t fit into their friend group or life. They are questioning themselves and possibly the other person about their feelings and the reality of the situation because everyone they talk to has a different take. I think they are in a self-imposed waiting line to be with the one they love. Even in their job, they just give and give and don’t get much back, and they want someone to share their life with who gives back. I think the person they love isn’t as cool and detached as the people they call friends, and it’s a pretty big leap to believe that this very different person is meant for them because they don’t really fit. Maybe that’s a good thing if life has become so monotonous. That unusual person might be a lot more like you than you think.
