Love this song!!!! I can relate to it a lot.. my ex-gf told me something along the lines of "boys like you try too hard to look not quite as desperate" and I guess it always just reminds me of what she told me. and ialso still know how to make her make-up run. and even if she was the bad one in our relationship, she never said sorry with a straight face. so with the lines "boys like you try too hard to look not quite as desperate, I'm hanging on, but I still know how to make your make-up run" & "And when it all goes to hell, will you be able to tell me sorry with a straight face?" I can always relate to this song over heartbreak. but that's just me, I dont know the actual genuine meaning to this song :P
