I always thought it was like Pete writing about Patrick. 'And in the end I'd do it all again, I think you're my best friend' -- As in even with how much Pete suffered & was going through, he would do it all again. And I think everyone knows Pete and Patrick are like best friends... that's what I took from it the first few listens anyways;P
