In this song, he describes a beautiful kingdom, but with a bleak atmosphere, with many mountains, but no so much water. And a woman dies in this kingdom, hanged by a pearled necklace which she undeservengly took... This song might just be simply about that literal story, but following Anathema's usual early poetic style, I really believe this "kingdom" is a metaphor for his inner self (beautiful, but melancholic, high, but with not much hope) and the death of the woman a metaphor for saying goodbye to someone who's done him wrong ("leave your pearls in the sea, you undeserved beach").
