I have read the lyrics over and over. I believe the theory that Satan is the song writer is true. Lucifers pride and the lyrics match. There was a reason I never cared for the song when it was popular. Now that I've matured and reread the lyrics yes most definitely the man that started this thread is dead on right. Barry Manilow did not write this song and is best known as a jingle writer. Like a good neighbor State Farm jingle was written by Manilow.
