For me this song is a reflection of ourselves and our prejudices. We see a little piece of ourselves in each of these people but we don’t want to admit to them. We see ourselves as that ugly girl and that pretty girl. We see ourselves as being attracted to someone of the same sex but we aren’t able to admit it publicly. We see ourselves in Jewish communities and we admire them. We all have pieces of each other but we don’t want to admit it out loud. We see pieces of all these people reflected in ourselves.
