I found this move a year ago. I must say, it is my all time favorite movie of any type. I’m 89 years old, so I’ve seen a lot of movies in my life. This movie moved me so greatly that I’ve watched it countless times. The song Cry, in my opinion, is Jamie singing in Landon’s mind from heaven. He is looking up at the dark gray sky at the movie end as he hears her song. “It was late in September”, that is when she went to her heavenly home according to what Landon said. “I was changed”, of course she was. She now has her perfect glorified, healthy body in Heaven. Jamie can see Landon’s loneliness and feels for him, wishing she could hold him, comfort him. “Feelings so deep inside”, yes, the feelings of the deep love they shared. I’ve read the book twice, but I still feel the movie is better. The lady who was the screen writer, did a tremendous job. If you are a man and you did not fall in love with Jamie, then I question your manhood. I was so mowed by A Walk to Remember that I wrote and produced an Alternate Ending to the movie giving Jamie and Landon the life they deserved.
