One of my favorites for years, literally three songs in one.
I think all the stuff about murder and little girls is a bit of a reach, to be honest. If you pay attention to the theme throughout, it sounds like a guy who is escaping the stressors of his world via drugs or other substances. "work for pay, pay for freedom", "heavens cold beneath my feet", "screaming like a radio". All things that might be thought by a working class dude tired of the world, and feeling powerful on drugs, like he's better than it all. A lot of the lines seem like him wistfully observing the world around him.

As for "bones of baby dolls" themselves, I just figured he was talking about cigarettes. Baby dolls are small, bones are white, and you smoke them. Pretty simple. And something a guy completely stoned on something might think while he is smoking a simple cigarette.

Great songs like this invite a lot of different perspectives, which is part of why we love them!
