I must say that this in My opinion, is one of thee' best (if not thee best) Jerry has ever penned!! The song's dynamic is very, very brilliant & supports a serious level emotions.. The bass track is like a driving heartbeat and keyboards much like a soundtrack to professing love while being convincing yet having an insecurity and heavy emotional uncertainty.. I hold onto what I love, I'd risk the madness, for You I'd cross to the other side, is thee' line that is the heaviest.. It's another way of saying "I'd die for You!".. To truly mean "that" to your innermost self.. Is pretty HEAVY!! Ever been in love?? Also known as a feelin' in My heart, It's also known to happen after dark, it's also known as tearin' Me apart, its also known as love.. Something explained in such simple terms.. Yet something that goes much further & deeper than simple terms.. I'm sure many agree with Me that Love fk'n sucks.. Especially when You cannot have the One You Truly Love, the One that's in Your heart that has pretty much taken up residency and You can't kick It outta' Your heart to save your own life!! I highly respect Jerry's songwriting skills, this great song here, is so well written. It could spawn 1,003 more great love songs!! I feel this song highly expresses that draw, want, the promise to die for, yet SOOO' much uncertainty.. My experience is all over this song, even stirs emotions within Me.. especially painful...
