It seems to me that he had an argument with Rosie. He had some words to holler. Rosie rushes out to her car. She's so upset, she flys through the crossroad and collides with a greyhound bus. He loved Rosie. He feels tremendous guilt. He feels responsible for this accident. He doesn't want to live without Rosie and he can't live with the guilt that he believes he caused the death of 30 people. There's no one like John Fogarty! What a song!
