This song or the whole Rock A Little is a record who divided Nicks fans. Some say it rocks but some say it's awful because of its mainstream style. Well, it is mainstream but for me it is still good in some way though not best of her work. And I think that it's not full in the 80's style, "Imperial Hotel" is like a song of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, "Sister Honey" has a funky tune, "If I Were You" is a typical pop song, and "Rock a Little", "I Sing for The Things" are softer and are closer to her previous albums and "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You" is a ballad and also sounds like her earlier work. "No Word Spoken" is rocky and the other tracks like "Talk To Me", "The Nightmare" and "I Can't Wait" are mainstream and filled with synth sound but they still have that rock tune and that last one is even hard rock. So it doesn't look that bad as some think especially when we compare this album to the other singers from that time. Well, with a mad respect for guys like Tina Turner or Whitney Houston, or Bonnie Tyler or solo Brian May or (but I don't like him at all) Jon Bon Jovi who are big talents but most of their songs from that time are not only full mainstream but also bland a little and not so special ... And Stevie still kept some kind of energy in her tracks and she stayed herself in some way.
