As Therapy? band members were in their twenties at the time of writing, and the fact that other songs had a similar theme (cf. Knives, Me vs You, Bowels of Love), I would say it is safe to assume it is about a dysfunctional (sexual) relationship. The kind where one desires sex, but despises themselves for it afterwards. A recognizable situation for many during that age (it is for me).
