Well, I am not Stevie Nicks and I don't know what she ment writting this line but we can suppose she's singing how she cannot build a relationship with beloved man because of her bigger love for music. But I think it has also deeper meaning and then she can sing about loneliness in show business. Well, as a famous rock star she's always far away from her parents, the rest of the family, her friends or another guys she's closed with. Instead of that she's surrounded by toxic people who don't care about her. So that's why a good friend like Benmont (or Tom Petty, Chriss McVie, Sara Recor or earlier Robin Anderson) is a big treasure for her. But it's a Stevie's song so I think she sings about all those things above.
