So in the early 2000s I listened to Dead Sara and heard this one. Its definetly about the Weather Underground. In the late 60s and early 70s they were a Domestic terrorist/activist group. Their members formed the group out of Berkley College.
They planted bombs in oil executive's offices and corporations they believed were pushing us to war or profiting from war. I think they targeted chief of police in SanFrancisco as well. I dont remember why he got targeted. They were careful to clear the buildings of people before they detonated any of their makeshift bombs. Im not sure how many were captured.
Several of their members stayed in hiding through the 90s until President Bill Clinton Pardoned them. This is all from memory so cant be 100% on the acuracy but it goes something like that...
