Just heard this lush song last week for the first time in a long time-I am puzzled why this love song includes ( multiple times) the line “Baby you’re wrong”- seems out of place. Have listened to lots of Orpheus interviews over the years, but never heard it explained! Any ideas?
@Buck1978 Been wondering about that myself. Sounds like it could be the middle of an argument or disagreement between hubby & wife or boyfriend & girlfriend. Sounds like she is accusing him of lying about something... maybe an affair... the last verse about the flowing nightgown is really from left field... unless it's so personal only she would know what it means... Great song but the lyrics really are a mystery.
