I heard about the true intended meaning behind this song and though sad I think it makes it so beautiful. Apparently the singer wrote this song about his Mum who was suffering from dementia. She often forgot about things but always paid attention to his music and so this song is about him writing to talk to her in a way. Just thought I would share since I found it so heartbreaking yet beautiful at the same time. Way cuter than all the romantic nonsense! ????
