I'm pretty sure "Tighten up" is something like "tie the knot..." and "So don't let me run too far from home" is "So don't ever run too far from home."
I'm kind of surprised this hasn't gotten some comments yet, it's a good song. I never gave any thought to the incomprehensible background lyrics after the first two verses -- very interesting to see them.
