Very surprised to see no one bothering to ruminate on the lyrics of this song Paraguay by Mr Osterberg? The narrative is part dictum and part lyrical manifesto. Sure, James puts on a mask just to become Iggy, so writing prose in the voice of someone other than Iggy Pop wouldn't be new, but knowing that the aging raging punk rocker is both over 70 and has retired to Florida, I think these word are his true sentiments......and as often has been the case, even tho I'm 20 years younger and will never have the means nor the desire to retire or be near Florida, I find myself agreeing with Iggy Pop.
