Unsung Psalm Lyrics

To me, this is like a commentary on the hypocrisy of some churches regarding queer sexual orientation and about the self-loathing and despair it causes for queer Christians who try to do what is expected of them. Everything would be just fine if it weren't for this one thing you're doing "wrong" - so you gotta try, but no matter how hard you try to "live right" you still can't ignore this voice within that's telling you that you can't change (and shouldn't!), so that makes you feel "hot under the collar" and makes "the sweat break out on my brow" because you give in to who you truly are.

Fantastic lyrics, whatever she intended for them to mean ... But the idea that this is what they could be about gave me a lot of courage when I needed it and will be forever grateful to her for this song.
