hi, sadly i just found out about this song a few months ago, i wish i heard of it before. But what if it’s about suicide acts after the break up?
“you smile when you dive in, like you’re never coming back” isn’t that like diving into water and drowning to not come back for good? and as he’s drowning he sees flashbacks as it says “ see your face when i black out, i’m never coming back”
@mushu10536 THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT ITS ABOUT! I haven't seen anyone else get this. Where's my love is the first part of this story and explains his lover's suicide. And this song is his feelings thereafter.

@mushu10536 i always got the same feeling out of this song. I mean even the music alone to me conveys way more than just a break up.
Its as if he is then talking to the water itself symbolising his gone lover, to hold ( embrace ) his body and hold his breath ( suffocate) untill he blacks out and he too, is never coming back.
And it created the fear of water or that phobia.
Maybe the ancient call is also is referring to his tendencies of joining his lover?
