To me, I see man who had a very long love or perhaps even a wife, but he couldn’t stop being with other women? As in the line “I love to love and you love to cry”just like in the very last goodbye. And then he proceeds to say every morning looks like you as if to say everything still reminds me of you, it’s like he’s trying to say still everything reminds him of her no matter what he does or who he’s with and he’s telling her that he let all his trains go meaning he still lets all of the women go. That’s kind of how I perceive this song or interpret it..
