Cover art for Failure lyrics by Breaking Benjamin

From a heavy faith Christian perspective, this can be such a powerful and meaningful song. And as all music reflects the art of God, any lyrics can have spiritual meaning to certain people. Here’s mine.\n\nThe 1st set of lyrics are “ Life will come our way, it has only just begun”. \n\nThis is a message of foresight is basically saying that life will eventually destroy this world, like there’s a tornado brewing and it will come your way. You think the world is bad now? Well it’s only just begun. The amount of sin and suffering we face in today’s society will only increase. \n\n“The world will die alone, The frail will fall below” \n\nAnother message foresight reminding us that as bad as this life may, it won’t last that long. The world will die alone because god left this word the moment Adam at the forbidden apple. And God has promised a new earth and a new Home in heaven. The frail will fall below is referring to those who reject God. At the end of times, they will fall below this world to hell.\n\n“Time will take our place, we return it back to one” \n\nThese lyrics are obvious. Time will outlive all of us and everything we did on earth will be replaced and forgotten. And at the very end, the world will go back to the original creator. God, The One.\n\n“The calm before the cold, the long and lonely road”\n\nThis a very sad truth. The earth will only get colder. That’s what sin does to us, it makes us cold and bitter. And without God here living in the world with us, we face it alone. Buts that’s how God planned. He wanted us to to have trust in love and rely on Him despite God not being here or being seen. That’s what Faith is. \n\n“ Look for the light that leads me home” \n\nThis is the most obvious lyrics in the entire song. \nThe light of Christ is often described as the only path to eternal life. Basically, our home in heaven. \n\nAfter listening to the chorus you’ll understand what the spiritual meaning I’m talking about is. It’s a plea to God to tear the whole world down. The message is asking “When are coming back Jesus? When will you end Satins reign of terror and Evil on use. When will the suffering end? \n\n“Failure” \n\nThe final lyric and clearest point this message is making is that this world is nothing but a reflection of Mankind’s Failure. Starting with Adam and getting worse and worse for thousands of years.\nI wouldn’t be surprised if one of the writers was Christian and wrote the lyrics. They are truly amazing. .
