I love that the classic Kozelek-ness of the scentence: "We\'ll find a house on the shore that showers MY soul". So shamelessly selfish to only consider his own happiness in that way. He feels sorry for himself, constantly, and his fantasies are centered around him alone. Even the last scentence: "Drains the pain that I\'ve caused you, down through" is from a selfish perspective. He just wants to drain it out, and forget about it, instead of looking within for the reason and try to change, for her. He just recognizes the pain associated with the abuse and tries to numb it. Classic Mark, and very inspirational.
