Released in November 1995 just two weeks after my father passed away, I popped this cassette into my car driving home from work. I was excited to hear the new Meat Loaf album. But I wasn\'t expecting this song to close out the album. It hit such an emotional chord for me in such a vulnerable time. It was actually a healing moment that I remember all these years later. Meat\'s passing on my birthday this week (1/20/22) brought this memory back to me. After struggling with his health and finally being free, these lyrics seemed written for my dad.... "I got my ticket in my hand. Oh, the price is paid in full.....Unlock these chains....The flesh desert me". And then finally...."And a good man just gets stronger. Where angels sing". Rest in peace dad.
