I think this song is another message like his other songs. He loves a woman who he knows will break his heart but will continue to love her if she does. Even though the feelings may not be mutual, he is going to win back her love. I think it can be related when we constantly think about someone that we have to potentially resist to check our phones for their text and just have intrusive thoughts. But it gets (not in an obsessive way ish) just intense when they appear in your dreams because we\'re not awake. Maybe the girl in real life tries to avoid him and play hard to get but in his dreams she\'s coming on to him and is the opposite of how she really is. Hence why she\'s so different to Chris.
