Im glad Im the first one to comment on this song. Leaving meaning is by far my favourite song of Swans. Its so hypnotic and for me works like a mantra. I imagine this song being played in a future church of a non-existent religion yet. The lyrics for me is the perfect meaning of incompleteness of the human been. Its like the battle of our desire and our human condition. The first sentence seems so simple but is the entrance of this battle: I can see it but cant see it. But this song is not just telling us about the problem, at the end of it gives the peace treaty: Not being. The human desire of being someone can be satisfied not being it. Its glorious. Lets go…
