Never knew this was written by Copeland! Just goes to show how The Police wasn't just Sting with back up musicians. Copeland and Summers definitely added more flavor to the band.
To be honest I didn't love Ghost when I first heard it. I didn't get the added tracking on Stings voice back then. But it definitely grew on me as it feels like a futuristic concept album, not far off from Dark Side of the Moon.
Darkness is one of the most soothing songs that can lull you to sleep. The combination of Stings baseline and soft piano gives off the sensation of floating in space or on a raft being rocked by gentle water. Copelands echoing percussion sounds like soft thunder fading in the distance.
